Hi all,
I have a question on archiving incident records.
If we archive incident record.. what is the effect of attachments associated with incidents.
Could you please explain.
Thanks,
Madhuri

Hi @madhuri229
It's listed as: Table sysID in Attachment(sys_attachment):
Additionally, ensure you read the response here from @Mwatkins about how to view the attachment once the record archived and important information related to restoring, if you need to do that in the future: https://www.servicenow.com/community/now-platform-forum/system-archiving-issues-with-archiving-attac...
Please consider marking my reply as Helpful and/or Accept Solution, if applicable. Thanks!

Hi,
When creating the archive rule, you can specify to archive incidents and related attachments, etc.
Please refer to this support article for more information: https://support.servicenow.com/kb?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0782323

Hi Allen,
Thankyou for the response and help.
I have checked in the archive rule of incidents, when i am trying to add new archive related record ,am not able to find the attachements in the reference drop down list.
Could you please explain me the steps to add attachments rule specifically for incidents.
Thanks in advance,
Madhuri

Hi Allen,
Thanks a lot for your support.
I can see attachment table in reference.
I am trying to add metric instances also, can see metric_instance and not able to see incident_metric table.
Its taking lot of time to run scheduled job after adding metric instance related record, how to avoid this.
Thanks,
