Hi,
I am trying to pass images by using HTML feild on the service portal. I have followed this article
https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/newyork-platform-administration/page/administer/field-administrat... which is available in the community.
created an HTML field on the record producer and mapped it to the comments(html feild) in the incident form. In the portal I am having an issue. I am trying to copy past the screenshot and when I am trying to paste it. it is loading in the HTML field and not getting insert in to the html. Any suggestion or recommendation on how to fix this.
it throws an error saying not an authorize file extension

Hi,
I've just tried to do a quick test in my PDI (New York), it's works fine:
- Added an HTML variable field and mapped to Comments
- Copy/Paste a screenshoot in the HTML text area
- The printscreen has been correctly pasted to the Incident record as Attachment and visible in the Activity logs
Refer to the image below, please try to do it in your PDI, maybe try to change browser (I'm using Chrome) in Incognito, also try to clean the cache, it must work.
If I have answered your question, please mark my response as correct and/or helpful.
Thank you very much
Cheers
Alberto

It should work because the snipping tool is producing a .png file, it's strange.
