Could anyone explain about the tabbed forms

Dear Community,

Could anyone please explain what actually will happen when we enable the tabbed forms,

User preference -> Tabbed.form -> value(true)

With Tabbed forms turned on, the real estate of the form that loads is more compressed since the different sections and related lists will display as Tabs.

Without Tabbed forms turned all sections and lists display sequentially down the page.

With Tabbed forms enabled all the sections and related lists will show in separate tabs.
