Hi all,

I am trying to create a hyperlink to help end users understand what they need to add to the field while submitting the request. The hyperlink needs to open a PDF document for their reference.

Please find the screenshot attached. 'Guidance for Justification' should be the hyperlink.

Thanks,

Mallika

Hi,

Is it a field or a Catalog Item variable?

Regards,

Palak

This is a catalog item variable.

Hi @mallikabhupathiraju

Okay, use "Rich Text Label" type variable and follow below steps.

1. Attach the Attachment in Catalog Item

2. Go to "sys_attachment" table and find the attached attachment by name, right click and select "Copy URL to Clipboard".

3. Go back to variable and insert the URL in desired words.

For text area create a separate "Multi-line Text" variable

For a single line text variable, you can't use HTML in the Variable Question or Annotation fields from what I can see.  I believe you will need to put this in the Catalog Item description field which will put the link at the top of the catalog item.

You could try using a Rich Text Label variable above or below as well if you wanted the hyperlink closer to the single line text field.

I feel if you try to script something or piece meal this together it likely wouldn't work on the Service Portal.
