Delete Action Captured in updateset

In my use case, I created a client script and captured it in the update set as an insert and update action. However, I no longer need that client script. Can I capture the delete action in the same update set? Also, is it considered best practice to include delete actions in an update set?

Hi @sparashar You can include the delete action in the same update set. Alternatively, if you're sure and it's approved, you can remove or move the client script to a different update set as needed.

Hi @sparashar
In your use case, if the update set containing the client script is not moved to an higher environment, you can remove it from your update set and delete it in default. This way it stays only in your lower instance and what is not required wont be deployed in higher instances.

2 Options
🗑️ Option 1: Delete Client Script
- Action: Delete the client script from the same update set.
- Outcome: Even if the update set is migrated to a higher instance, the client script won’t be present.
🔄 Option 2: Move to Default Update Set
- Action: Remove customer updates for the client script.
- Next Step: Move it to the Default update set of the respective scoped app (e.g., Global or other).
- Outcome: Ensures proper versioning and avoids migration issues.
