Export a CI list as excel/ pdf and attach to a catalog task

I need such a workflow:

When a catalog task is generated, it needs to get a list of CIs which are managed by/ owned by the target user (a variable in our catalog item). The list could be in excel/ pdf format to attach to the task.

Then, a notification email should be sent to the target user's manager with the exported list attached from the task.

Is there any solution to achieve it?

you can take this approach

1) create after insert business rule on sc_task and generate a CSV file and attach to the record (CSV generation process will include fetching variable value and applying filter for fetching CIs)

refer my blog and enhance the logic

Generate csv file with the catalog variables and attaching to RITM record 

2) then have notification on sc_task with your recipient, subject, email body etc and use Include Attachment checkbox so that file is sent via email
