How can I lock reports in Service Now to prevent accidental or intentional changes?

I want to start using a set of reports in Service Now to manage my IT department. I have created the reports I want everyone to use, but it appears when I give people access to view a report, that also gives them access to modify the report (on purpose or by accident). How can I prevent others from modifying the reports we all rely on?

Do you give access to each user individually? Consider adding them to a group and giving access to that group. Then members of the group will be able to view the report but will not be able to modify it unless they have 'report_group' role.
