how can i set the value in the list collector while loading the page in portal

here i have created a catalog item for portal. in that catalog item, we have a list collector variable which will be having few options in it to select.

i want one choice from the list collector to be default value when form loading for the first time.

i have given the default value "HHH" but not working.

Hello,

In default value tab you need to paste sys_id of which you need to show by default.

You can add multiple default value by pasting sys_id s with comma seperated.

IF we want to add more than one default entries on load, how to do that. This is satisfying with one value. 

For ex: I have a list collector which is in a variable set and i have set a default value to it and im using this for couple of cat items. Suppose in case if i want to display multiple entries on load for set of cat items along with the default ones. How to do that? Is there only way to write onload client script ? or any easy way. If it is only client script do you have that code?
