How is Guided Tour Designer access granted

Hello,

I have a technical writer and a content specialist who need access to build Guided Tours for my office. So far it looks like only the admin role grants access to the designer (this appears to be the case in Kingston, at least), and these folks don't need that level of access to the system. I also don't think that they need the full spectrum of access granted by the embedded_help_admin role either.

If access to the Guided Tour Designer is only granted through the admin role, what is the point of having a guided_tour_admin role? Is there a way to fine tune access for these two employees so that I can grant them access to build guided tours while still following the rule of least privilege?

Lastly, as a requested enhancement, would it be possible somewhere down the road to have a guided tour of how to make guided tours? 🙂

Thanks in advance for the help!

Hi,

Per this link: https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/kingston-platform-user-interface/page/build/help-guided-tours/con...

The two roles that can be used to give designer access would be: Role required: sn_tourbuilder.tour_admin or admin. If the user with embedded_help_admin is not an admin, the user needs the role that provides access to the page where the tour is being added or modified.
