How to bulk transfer assets

I'm sure I'm missing this, but I don't know the official way to bulk move assets between locations.  I assume it's a standard SN feature.

The issue:

I have 100 computers in my warehouse, and I want to move all of them to another location/stockroom.  The only way I see to do that is to create a transfer order, which, best I can tell, requires me to enter 100 child records, 1 record at a time.

I'm looking for the opposite.  Identify 100 assets, and in one operation, transfer them.

Any thoughts?

Hi Greg,

I have a customer with the same requirement. Unfortunately out-of-the-box you can only transfer consumables.

There is an access control that is looking at the asset class as a condition to allow the quantity to be edited (alm_transfer_order_line.quantity_requested)

Keeping it OOTB you could maybe use a barcode scanner to automatically enter a new transfer order line, but I haven't tried that one yet.

We also have the same requirement.

Our company has about 1500 locations with centralised purchasing into a couple of main locations. We need to be able to move thousands of assets from these few central locations to the rest of the business, but adding one at a time is a big drain on time and resources.

Ideally we could add assets to a T/O from a filtered slush bucket or list view, e.g. all laptops received on a specific PO, or all in-stock PC's of the latest model in Stockroom A.

Does anyone have a solution, please?
