How to Edit Default filter on Incident Table? Zurich

David Santel
Giga Guru

I am unable to edit the default filter. See attached.

On the incident form i went to Configure->List Control....and added "Edit default filter".  Refreshed.....No edit default option appears.....I have searched for solution with no results.

How do i simply edit the default filter on the incident table. This task should not be rocket science.

Any suggestions welcome as this is sad.

The "Edit default filter in the List Control is effective when viewing the list as a Related List on another table/form. How are you viewing the list with this filter?  If you are viewing the table db object, then clicking the Show List related link for some reason

or simply typing incident.list in the left nav filter, this is the true default list view, and should show all records.  If your lengthy filter is only appearing when clicking on something in the left nav, then that Module is defined with that filter, so you would need to either edit that Module, or create a new Module.  You can edit a module either by hovering over the name in the left nav then clicking the edit icon (not sure if this is native functionality or added with sn_utils browser extension)

or go to System Definition > Modules in the left nav and find the record for the Name in question.

Hi @David Santel ,

If you are opening incident list from your left navigator please check the filter by clicking on "Edit Module"

Here we have all the filter based on the module

For example

If I clicked on Resolved you can see the state is Resolved.

@David Santel

seems you are confused.

Default filter option is available only when list appears as Related list, I agree with what @Brad Bowman  mentioned.

what's your actual business requirement?
