Hi everyone,
I have a question that is there any way to make sure the child update sets of a parent update set in the right order when moving batch update sets to another environment?
Our team conducted a batch migration of update sets previously. However we did not figure out a way to keep the child update sets in the correct order when moving to another environment, which caused various throwbacks.
Any good idea will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much.

Hi @Yu_G ,
If you are migrating changes using batch then you no need to worry about sequence or order of your child update set. ServiceNow will take care of it as it check the proper version and apply the changes. Actually batch update used to avoid this confusion only. It is the best way to migrate the changes from one instance to another.

HI @Yu_G ,
There are two way of doing this.
First one is Merge Update set, where you can combine multiple Update sets.
Second is Create a Update set and make this as Parent to all the Update sets.
I would recommend the Second one, which I felt was safe with the timing of the records updated in it.
If the above information helps you, Kindly mark it as Helpful and Accept the solution.

Najmuddin.
