I have an issue whereby a number of interaction records are being created by the 'Guest' account.
However, the user who initiates the interaction via the chat icon is logged in and is authenticated.
This issue appears to be intermittent.

Sounds like it could be similar to https://support.servicenow.com/kb?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0868340
But it says this issue was fixed. I would suggest opening a case with support as well, while you wait for other answers here.
