I've seen mixed answers across the board when this question is asked. Is it possible to add a workflow to a record producer? There is a field called "Workflow" in the record producer record. Is this used to attach a workflow to a record producer?

I see.
So to run a workflow, I would need to do it within the workflow properties by selecting the target table or selecting a target table and a condition to run it. I can't run it just by selecting a workflow in that "Workflow" field within the record producer, correct?

Hi Prateek,
So are you saying that the "Workflow" field is in the record producer form because the record producer table extends from the base catalog item table? How would I attach a workflow to a record producer?

So once the record producer is submitted, it creates a record on the target table.
Depending on the fields and your requirement attach a workflow to the target table.
Like in Workflow properties.
Table -- is -- target table and
state -- is -- active or draft
