We have just went live with Service Now Monday. I need a lot of help so forgive me if I ask mundane questions. Thank you all for your help in advance.
I have been searching this all day. How do I set the system so that my technicians can create SCTasks. The system was setup using the default ITIL role. how do I get this feature on their role?

You went live and NOW have questions? haha...just kidding...sort of...
Anyways, you'd want to look in to your ACL's which allow/prevent access to various tables/fields, etc. in SN.
So you'd want to look for the sc_task table and then see if there's a create ACL there with the ITIL role assigned so that they can do that. If not, then create one.
Please mark my reply as Helpful/Correct, if applicable. Thanks!

Hi,
You need to give catalog_admin role to the users (Technicians ).
then they will be create sc_task.
If it's not working then goto the sc_task table and check the ACL of this table and see the role for create operation..
Mark correct or helpful if it helps you.
Warm Regards,
