Knowledge Management - checkout option is disabled on Published articles

Hi
Knowledge Management - checkout option is disabled on Published articles and Pervious version of the KB article which are retired their workflow state should be outdated but is it in retired state. What might be the reason ?

Hi @Dr Atul G- LNG Thanks for the reply but my issue was differnt let me explain we have republish button when ever we click on this republish button and it will set the state to Review and waiting for approvals after the approve it the state set to published but the issue here is the previous versions were set to retired instead of outdated that's the reason we are not able to view that check out button my ask to how to set those previous versions to outdated ?

There is no action required form you.
It becomes outdated; this is stated and confirmed here in the SN docs.
'Knowledge contributors can create a new version of a knowledge article from an existing published version. This existing version can be either the latest published version or an older outdated version. All changes are stored in the new version of the article and the information in the existing article remains the same.'
