Need help with Service Portal theme related changes.

Hi All,

I am working on some changes on Service Portal and I will really appreciate if you could help me with the following points:

1. I would like to change the text color over the buttons on the Knowledge Article Content widget. For example: I have opened a knowledge article in the screenshot shared below and the text written over this button with blue background is not visible. I have updated the background of the button to blue color to match the branding color but I am not aware how to change the text color over the buttons. I assume that I will have to update the css of the theme but need your help to point me towards the correct css property.

2. I would also like to change the color of the confirmation message that comes up when we submit a request or add an item in the cart on the portal or the message that comes up when we mark the knowledge article as helpful/when we submit feedback for an article as shown below:

I believe this color also depends on the current theme. Request you to let me know how can I change the text color and the background color for these messages.

I would also like to mention that I do not have any experience of working with css and am in the learning phase. So, request you to include as much information as possible for the above queries.

Would really appreciate your help on this.

Best Regards,

Hello Gulzar,

For 1st Point - You can change the button link color using Service Portal Branding.

Refer below link -

https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/sandiego-servicenow-platform/page/build/service-portal/concept/c_...

For 2nd Point - Its a generic color for all the confirmation message across the portal and its not maintained through Portal theme. And if you want to change it then you can to clone the widget then apply your CSS color on the message on HTML section.

Please mark as correct if its fulfills your requirement.

Hi @nayanawadhiya1,
Thank you very much for your response.

1. I have already tried changing hex codes on branding editor but the changes do not take effect on the Knowledge Article Content widget.
2. For this one, could you please guide me which widgets to clone for the screenshots pasted in the original question?

Thanks & Regards,
