parent in Update sets

What is the parent in the update sets? what we will configure the in the parent look up field? actually when will we use this field?

Hi,

parent field is used when you migrate the update sets using the Concept of Batching

It will contain one of the update set from your instance

It is used for maintaining the hierarchy while migrating the update sets

Hi,

Parent is a reference field in the update set, Parent field is nothing but we can add another update set as parent

Batch update sets enable you to group update sets together so you can preview and commit them in bulk.

Dealing with multiple update sets can lead to problems, including committing update sets in the wrong order or inadvertently leaving out one or more sets. You can avoid these problems by grouping completed update sets into a batch.
