Project/Task Tracking in ServiceNow

We have an out-of-the-box instance of ServiceNow Incident and Problem Management modules. We are looking for a way to track time spent on projects and other tasks using the incident module or the problem management module. Does anyone have any ideas on this can be done?

Hi,

Unfortunately, your post isn't very clear as far as how these "projects and other tasks" related to Incident and Problems within your ServiceNow instance. Are they related at all? Or you're looking to somehow try and make that fit?

Incidents and Problems aren't really "project tracking" mechanisms.

There is time worked, that could be captured by a technician who is working a specific incident, for example, but if the project and other tasks aren't related...then...I'm sure you can see the disconnect.

Perhaps you can explain a bit more as to what all you have going on?

This sounds like something that may/should have been brought up during your ServiceNow sales meetings to ensure the platform can accommodate your business needs, etc.?
