Hello All,
I have an issue, where roles in the ACL are not getting captured in update sets. I was trying to move my updates from dev to QA in that i have created ACLs in that only certain roles are mentioned. but when i moved my updates to QA and started testing, found that roles are missing in ACL. why this happened.
Thanks,
Sunny

Hi Sunny,
Are the roles existing in DEV. Even though you would have had added it to the ACL can you ensure those actually exists in target environment.
Only reason for it not be showing up is because the roles may not exist in Role table itself. Kindly give it a check.

Did you add the roles via the embedded list (on the form), or via the related list?
I believe they only get captured via the embedded list.
Please elaborate on 'mentioned'
Thanks

--> when you capture add/edit/remove role in the ACL, I think it creates a seperate record in the update set. look if all the roles got captured in the update set or not , or did you see any error when moving the update set. Also I guess as a work around, you can import the missing record from DEV --> test, prod
