Scheduling Calendar invitations

Hello,

Just wondering if there is a way we can schedule calendar invitation, using "scheduling assistant" in outlook and also an ability to choose rooms for meetings?

Hi Keerthana,

Thank you for the clarification. This is not available in the base product.

That would require ServiceNow to have access to your Exchange server to access the free/busy schedule of users and conference rooms. Similarly, Exchange would have to make the free/busy information available to ServiceNow.

This sounds like an intriguing, yet somewhat complex, integration

Hi Chuck,

Imagine I have access to exchange's server port. May I know how to setup servicenow to pull that info? also Would it be possible for me to open up the meeting invitation window as in picture below(just like "mailto:") when user clicks a button on the form?.

Hi Keerthana,

Unfortunately I don't have the resources or experience to dig in to this further and tell you what you would need. I haven't touched an Exchange system in years so what little I do remember wouldn't be of much use here. This is a fairly sophisticated integration that could be scoped by our professional services or one of our partners. It's a bit too large to tackle in a community thread I'm afraid.

Hi Keerthana,

Ya you can do that.

1. There is a UI action for user table, you will have to call that first. It will pop under Related links.

2. You can create the report as well for that please refer: Creating Calendars - ServiceNow Wiki

3. Also for scheduling the calendar meetings refer this: Creating Calendars with Schedule Pages - ServiceNow Wiki

I would suggest first way is the easy way, there you can add the records in calendar, and when you want to have any schedulers or just to use the field, all you have to do is to glide record that calendar table.

Please let me know if I can assist more.

Regards,

Mayur.
