Searching Within A Specific Knowledge Base

I am wondering if there is a way to set up Knowledge to allow a user to search for an article within a specific Base. When a user accesses our knowledge portal they are only able to search through all articles all at once and then have to filter after the search. Ideally, once a user has selected a Base, the search would only be performed within the Base.

For example, let's say we have 5 bases with 100 articles each. If a user selects Base A and then types a keyword into the search bar they are met with all 500 articles from across our bases, rather than a priority list created just from the 100 articles within the base.

Perhaps this is a simple fix or maybe just a fundamental flaw of Knowledge, but any help is welcome. Preferably a non-custom option would be best. Thank you!

This is OOB Behaviour to search across all the bases.

If you want to restrict the search to specific knowledge base then you can update same in following property:

https://<instance_name>.service-now.com/cxs_res_context_config_prop.do?sys_id=c08f7313c33221003d2ae2...

Now to make it dynamic, I do not see any OOB option unless you customize it at portal page widget
