Translating Service Catalog Variables

I am trying to configure snow for multiple languages and have installed the german plug in. When I view a Catalog item in either UI or ESS site the standard cat item field names are displayed in german but catalogue variables are not. Has anyone applied translation to catalog variables and can advise if further configuration is required

Store the text of the UI macro in messages (sys_ui_message table). Add different entry for different languages and use getMessage function to retreive the messages.

Is the mapping done here between the value in transalated field and the question field in variables? (Asking for a friend/Too lazy to try 🙂 )

Yes, the column value is the name of the question or the variable.

For question table, i am adding the value to be in Spanish language but this does not reflect for me, is there any additional check to be made? Please guide.
