Configurable Variables can all be found in sys_translated.list. Most of them will be of one of three tables: question, question_choice or question_text.
In sys_translated, you can create a new record where you provide the table name, the element (field name), language, field label in the foreign language, the VALUE which is the exact text in the default system language as is in the original.
