Unauthorized change is not working as expected

Hi Team,

I'm trying to implement Unauthorized change in my dev instance. I have configured the unauthorized property with required conditions and trying to test but the unauthorized change is not getting created.

I have tested the following:

1. Created a change request and added a CI which is included in the unauthorized property and submitted. Later, changed the CI's RAM when the change state was not matching the condition added in property. New unauthorized change was not created.

2. Modified one of the CI of Windows server class and that particular CI was not added to any active change request. Even then a unauthorized change was not created.

Note: There is no existing unauthorized change created earlier which means any of the CI was not flagged as unauthorized and the event is also not triggered.

Could you please guide how to test unauthorized change.

Thanks in advance

Hi Manju,

The change to the CI that you have tested there may not be sufficient to trigger the creation of an unauthorized change. Have a look at this post, it explains further.

Hi Ryan,

Thanks for your response.

I tried to modify all the fields from the CI and still it has not triggered the unauthorized change and I'm modifying the existing CI's and not the newly created ones.
