Hi,

Please don't mine,  iam asking same question here

i just getting confusion here please help me, as per your words [ probes perform data collection and update the CMDB with the help of sensor. ]

Probes revices inforamtion about devices with help of Sensors and sending to ECC table , ECC updates information respective CMDB table.

i confused here , with this structure , can you please explain it.

Table(in Servicenow)---ECC-----Probes-----MidServer------Devices(Client NetWork)-------MidServer------Sensors------Update into CMDB(table in Servicenow)?

can you elaborate it

Hi,

Input and output u can see in ecc_queue table.

Servicenow gives input to Mid Server,Mid-Server executes probes(like shazzam in discovery...etc) on devices collects information and gives back to mid server as output ..then sensor will segregate received info and updates into CMDB.

(for more you can ref Discovery Docs)
