What is the max length of characters that a catalog item's description can display in the portal view

Hi All,

Does anyone know what the max character length of the short description of a catalog item is when in the Portal? I don't mean the short description in the catalog item itself as that is set to 200, but just when looking at the catalog item in the portal view. (See below attached attached).

Seems to be different lengths on this view no matter what the short description has been set to. Is this something that's configured in a widget or the portal?

Hi Ja,

The Overflow limit is set on the widget itself of 100 characters. See line marked by arrow:

You can clone the widget and edit the limit but there may be unintended consequences in the visual view of the Cards.

It should be 80 but even then you can follow link for an additional check. Also, I am sure if you resize your browser (screen resolution) more characters will appear.

Any idea where that 80 characters is set? The link you provided talks about going to the 'Icon Link edit option' but I don't know how to open that.

Description has a default character limit of 4,000 characters. The default size of a text field on the form is determined by its character limit for more details please refer below link.
