Which auto-closure rules are ootb for service catalog?

I see this article here: https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/vancouver-servicenow-platform/page/product/service-catalog-manage...
But I don't think this is in place for us. We have a new instance and I am building out the catalog with flows but not sure I this article is just stating best practice to follow or if I can expect this behavior?
