In the ServiceNow documentation, it says the roles required for Make this current button to revert to an outdated article are knowledge base owner, knowledge_manager, and knowledge_admin.
After we enabled Ownership groups, this seems to have changed. I verified as well when I was working in a developer instance to test, I found that the Make this current button is also available on an article for those who are in that ownership group of the article and have the knowledge role.
Checking to see if ServiceNow just didn't update their documentation, or if there's something not working as intended?

Hi @laura_p
Check this link Ownership groups
As per the OOTB Logic, Ownership group members also have access to 'make this current' button.

Yeah a detailed line in documentation should've been there.
They did mention knowledge base owners can use that feature (ownership group members are also knowledge base owners)

I think Voona's reply clarifies your question, but to piggyback onto this post, I would love more detailed documentation on Ownership groups - what they can and cannot do, workflows associated with OGs, etc.

I agree, I think their documentation is outdated and lacking details that would be helpful for knowledge admins to understand this process. I am still confused about certain aspects of what is expected of ownership groups, such as whether they are intended to complete feedback tasks, though some may not have the knowledge role. It would be helpful for them to give more details.

I'm just glad to know I'm not the only one trying to figure this all out!
