Link to Knowledge

OK, I'm stumped.  What is the point of Link to Knowledge in a document within Managed Documents when you can't choose which article in a kb it links to?  If you're in the article itself and choose to link a document, you can only link a document by uploading from your computer and not from with ServiceNow (which is odd to me!).

My dream goal would be to have all my documents in Managed Documents and each one is linked to an article in a kb.  Whenever that document is revised and updated, all I have to do is publish the document and the article is automatically updated with the current document.

Hi @dgerlock

Checkout Amaze by Intellective. We have already solved this in Amaze for linked documents. Not just that, you can also embed the linked document in the article so the user doesn't have to download it to view it. Once you embed the document, there is no need to update the article, just publish the new version of the document and it will automatically show in the article.

I don't know about Managed Documents but you can use iFrames for pdf and any other documents. The document is viewable in the kb the user doesn't have to download it to view it.
