I'm hoping this is the correct forum. I have Contract Management Pro. Not sure it falls under LSD, but simple contracts does and the issue will be the same.
I've set up the integration with Docusign as per the docs, using my own personal account (for now). Everything works just fine. When someone submits a Third Party Contract Review request, the process (OOB) goes as follows:
- Legal fulfiller reviews the contract and selects "Prepare for Signature" in the Legal Counsel Center workspace
- A new browser tab opens with the logon page for Docusign
- Legal fulfiller logs in to Docusign where they can access the contract and add Signature and Signature Date placeholders before sending it for signature
As the integration account is set up with my own account, I can log into Docusign and carry out step 3 no problem.
However, if another legal fulfiller clicks "Prepare for Signature" and logs into Docusign using their own account, they can't view the draft contract (because it was created by the integration account).
For production, I will user a Service Account for the integration, so my questions are these:
- Is there something I should be doing in Docusign to allow users to access the integration account's documents? Speaking to someone in Docusign, they don't think that's possible, but maybe I'm asking the wrong question.
- When the legal fulfiller logs into Docusign after clicking "Prepare for Signature", should they be logging in with the credentials of the integration account rather than their own account? That doesn't sound right.
I feel like I'm missing something obvious here. It must just work somehow as this is completely OOB, not bespoke. The SN docs are frustratingly vague when describing the action to be taken after hitting Prepare for Signature: "Log in to the e-signature portal"
