What's going on with moderation?

The last 2 times I've posted a solution to my questions, both have been sent to moderation hell. Why?
Additionally, why is it that I never actually receive any feedback from whoever the moderator is? Why?
How do I move posts from moderation back to the threads they were intended for? How?

Where are the rules of engagement for moderation? Where?

Or are they some type of secret that only true moderators can see, because? Because?

I find exclusion through moderation pretty annoying.

Is there some other ServiceNow community I should be accessing to NOT get moderated every time I post with NO feedback as to why? Anyplace?

The Community has been hit quite hard by very sophisticated spammers.  This group is using tactics that we and our platform vendor haven't seen before.  Our backend tools are addressing some of these posts, but we have had to add additional layers in to prevent as much spam as possible from hitting the site.  As you can see, to date it's been very difficult to be completely successful at this, because there is still spam getting through.  Some of these efforts maybe inadvertently blocking  legitimate posts, and I apologize for this.

Please know are pulling every level we can to combat the spam without disruption for our members.  This is our number one priority right now on the team.  Your satisfaction and trust  is paramount to our Community success.

Hello @Dan Bruhn,

Thanks a lot for sharing your inputs on this topic.

Is there anyway for MVPs and Rising Stars to take up the responsibility of flagging the spam posts/accounts. I have been reporting such contents from my side lately. However, there is no way I can block a spammer from posting contents right away.

You can report content as spam (any anything inappropriate)

Bring it to Community Moderator's as shown in screenshot below. I do it all the time.

Hello Anurag,

I am aware of this option, it just sends a tip to the community moderators. However, it doesn't prevent the spammers from making any subsequent posts. Since moderators are already overloaded with other stuff it might be difficult for them to review each of these posts and take action.

I am of the opinion that the MVPs and Rising stars should have an option to flag such accounts/posts so that spammers can't spam any further. This can be later on reviewed by the Mod team to verify if the MVP/Rising star are flagging the right accounts and not acting under any bias.

Regards,

Sandeep
