How to add bulk asset using Agent App By scanning Bar code or QR Code

Hi,

I am working on a solution where I need to procure assets using mobile app and need to scan bulk bar/QR codes at the same time. I have a solution that can procure one asset at a time. But for multiple scanning I found only concept from this link provided by Servicenow Docs.

If I can get any help technically how to configure an app it will be very much helpful to me.

Thanks & Regards,

Amitra

Hello Amitra,

The doc link you shared is for Orlando and I don't see the same doc for Newyork, I guess this is the feautre that is present in Orlando and not in Newyork.

JAS

That's Fine, If it is even possible in Orlando, I wanna make it. But there is no technical step or process or design flow I found. I am also not able to figure out by myself. Anyway Orlando will be released in couple of months. I am finding the solution in both version as the architecture is quite similar in both releases.

Hi Amitra,

Joshwa is correct that scanning bulk assets is a use case we've solved for in Orlando. It seems that you are on a New York instance and this new functionality will not be possible in your version.

Just to give you additional context -- in Orlando, we released a new feature called multi-scan which allows you to scan multiple QR codes or group of barcodes at a time. The scanning experience in Orlando is much more seamless because you can scan multiple barcodes and review before submitting.

Since you are on a New York instance -- you can only scan single barcodes at a time. Here is a K19 lab that walks you through this use case and configuration:

https://developer.servicenow.com/app.do#!/event/knowledge19/CCW1564/knowledge19_CCW1564_lab_3_qr_cod...

Hope that helps!

Best,

David

As I told earlier comment. I am looking for Orlando solution for multiple scanning also. Is there any lab practice for that? I have already made single scanning solution. Any reference will be helpful.

Thanks,
