Mobile appp configuration

Hi community

I am after some guidance please in understanding the commonalities with both the mobile apps and the browser platforms.

With the main common feature being the data, when configuration or customisation is applied to the apps, is there any impact to the browser platform. For example, if updating the view of a form in the app to hide certain fields, will this carry over to the browser platform or just apply to the app?
