Employee Center Links opening in external window

Hello

We are having an issue in which external links on Employee Center are opening in an external window.  Would like these links to open strictly in the MS teams window itself.  Is there any setting we can use to do this?

Thanks, however, I discovered that the links opening in a new tab is rather inconsistent.  Certain links do open in a new external browser tab, others open in the Teams Browser.  Is there any way to modify this behavior?

I found out some more information.

The items that are affected are Content Items with an external link, not actual Catalog Items.  It seems that this behavior is for ALL content items that use External Links.

I checked out the topic_content widget and I am unable to determine which of the code determines when to open the link as a new tab.

Does any one have any info?

I doubt that this behavior is caused by the ServiceNow configuration. It is likely that Microsoft Teams doesn't allow embedding content from untrusted websites for security reasons.
