Unable to edit smart attestation

Hi community,

I am exploring the Smart Assessment Engine within GRC and have created the attestation template along with the questions. Once the attestation is published, I am not getting an option to edit the template again or make it draft again if there are assessments existing for the template even if all are closed.

I understand that the template should not be edited if there are open assessments associated but then we should have the option once all assessments are completed.

Anyone knows how to make the template back to draft to edit if we have assessments linked but all are completed?

Hi @Christophe_E ,

1) Copying of a template is in development and is being released in February store release.

2) Deletion of sn_smart_asmt_instance is possible via script

3) Updating a published template is not possible. If there are no assessments though, you can move the template back to draft and edit it.

@Chenab Khanna As of now there is no published KB article for the same. The above solution I have proposed is for testing purpose only. As mentioned by @Community Alums , it is not advised to make changes to a template which has assessments generated. Also for audit purpose, customer would not want to delete the closed assessments.

Hi @Ayush Aggarwal ,

Right !! That's why i mentioned in my answer "Making changes to a published attestation is not advisable".

@Community Alums @Ayush Aggarwal So, basically to sum up, we cannot move a template back to draft even if the assessments are completed/closed.

The only way to edit it by deleting the assessments and yes customers are not ok with deleting the data.

We might have to come up with custom script or update the copy of ootb code in extended include to provide templates to be move to draft if associated assessments are completed
