Next Experience

Next Experience delivers a next generation, intuitive, personalized experience to drive productivity, improve engagement, and surface insights across the Now Platform. When using workspaces with Next Experience, you can deliver personalized experiences that engage teams and supercharge productivity while also using Unified Navigation to access content cross the instance in a single pane. You can get a high-level overview of Next Experience with our Product Documentation and our Center of Excellence site. Here are some key features to keep in mind:

Next Experience UI: Unifies the applications in your instance in a single pane with Unified Navigation.

Workspace UI: Deliver personalized experiences that engage teams and supercharge productivity.

UI Builder: Create pages and customize them with a single builder. Deliver engaging, personalized experiences for employees.

We also have a Next Experience Unified Navigation overview course, as well as a UI Builder fundamentals course. If you are new to ServiceNow, we also strongly recommend that you take this very short Get Started with the Now Platform course to learn platform basics. If you want a deeper dive into using the Now Platform, a longer ServiceNow Fundamentals course is also available.

Benefits of Next Experience:

  • Modern look and feel
  • Translucent overlay menus
  • Expanded screen real estate

  • Seamless navigation between Core UI and workspaces

Identify your desired business outcomes

Before you start to implement Next Experience, it’s critical to have a clear vision of what you want to accomplish. Next Experience allows you to deliver many positive business outcomes, and you can achieve all of this over time. However, by deciding which outcomes are most important for your organization and agreeing on them with your stakeholders, you can set clear expectations and tailor your initial implementation to realize these goals.

Here are some examples of business outcomes that you can achieve with Next Experience:

  • Build Quickly: Create and configure engaging experiences to boost your team's efficiency. Deliver an engaging, customer-grade experience based on specific user criteria.
  • Deliver more engaging experiences: Empower teams with targeted, purpose-built tools and information with configurable workspaces. Simplify how your teams work using context-driven information and resources.
  • Drive productivity with more flexibility: Solve issues faster with everything your users need in one place. Surface insights and deliver intuitive information based on historical data and context.
  • Easily navigate between applications and workspaces: Unified Navigation enables your users to access content across your instance in a single pane, simplifying access to the items they need to get working.
