Next Experience - Configurations Recommended Prior to Turning On

Hi all,

We are finally going to enable Next Experience within the next couple of weeks. I went through much of the documentation, watched videos, etc. Yes, we are aware that we have to train users.

Question: Which Next Experience configurations are recommended to make BEFORE rolling this out to our Production environment? For example, I watched a ServiceNow video that mentioned we need to set certain preferences first.  The use case they discussed: One Customer requested to force left hand navigation instead of the top hand navigation menu. ServiceNow advised before rollout, to set the global property for the menu to be pinned. They recommended this must be configured before the user logs in for the first time. The preference cannot be configured after the user has logged in. The reason---- > if the global setting has not already been configured, as soon as the user pins something else, then their user preference would override any new global settings made after-the-fact.

Should we configure our branding beforehand?

Are others configuring "the landing page" first for certain groups/users to have a certain view? Or are you going with only the OOB?

Are there any "Next Experience configuration settings" that anyone would recommend before we roll this out?  Last thing we want is to be sorry later that we did not configure XYZ in the Next Experience?

Thanks,

Kathy

No this had not been answered. My question was people's thoughts about recommended configurations. Not training. We already know about the training.

Hello @kathymorris

There are lot of things you need to consider before enabling next experience in your env.

Would suggest to run next experience readiness checker in your env.

you will get result of which applications are not compatible with next experience.
