AI Control Tower – Clarification on External Telemetry, Signals & Observability Capability

1. Does AICT ingest telemetry signals (logs, metrics, traces) from external systems?

2. Does AICT support:
Real-time telemetry streaming?
Event-driven ingestion (similar to ITOM Event Management / AIOps)?

3. Does AICT track adoption, productivity, cost, and usage from external platforms?

Hi @Suggy

1. Refer AICT Release Note: AI Control Tower release notes

Australia Patch 2 Publish ServiceNow agents to Microsoft Agent 365 Publish the ServiceNow Agents to Microsoft Agent 365 ensuring the ServiceNow agents are sent to external registries. Service Graph Connectors for AI Control Tower AI Service Graph Connector for Databricks discover AI agents and import to AI Control Tower from Databricks environment.

💡 AI Value - Measuring Impact This section explains how organizations can track and measure the **value delivered by AI systems** using ServiceNow AI Control Tower. It covers key metrics such as productivity gains, usage patterns, and adoption across teams, helping leaders quantify AI's impact and

Hello @Tanushree Maiti sorry to say but almost all your responses are 'sharing links'. That will not really help.

GPT tools will also give me several such links and more content.

Still why people post in community? - to get authentic answers based on their experience or to seek a response from ServiceNow product teams

1. Does AICT ingest telemetry signals (logs, metrics, traces) from external systems?---> not a Typical telemetry or Observability tool (Like APM or AI Ops) but It collects data for AI Assets from external system And execution n Usage data etc etc. AI Control Tower (AICT) is the governance plane  - one place to register every agent (Now-native and external), set and enforce policy, monitor execution, and produce audit evidence.

Its Seems right now external System USage data is captured in this Table- sn_ai_disc_ai_usage

2. Does AICT support:
Real-time telemetry streaming?
Event-driven ingestion (similar to ITOM Event Management / AIOps)?--> No .. when you Install AICT you see few Scheduled Jobs Like  Execute AI Discovery, LOG AI Usage, AI Discovery Data Collection , But you can control its schedule as per your frequency.

3. Does AICT track adoption, productivity, cost, and usage from external platforms? -> AICT supports cost tracking for integrated AI assets across supported cloud/AI platforms, especially hyper-scaler AI services, but detailed cost-source support should be validated against the customer’s AICT release, licensed connectors, and ServiceNow Store connector availability

Hi @rpriyadarshy  thanks for replying.

I am looking for detailed information on what all objects will be captured when it comes to EXTERNAL AI systems. Because ServiceNow says AICT can used org wide, not just for ServiceNow.

And based on the existing materials avaialble, I see many things missing.

I see this from press release:

  • Discover finds AI assets once deployed across the organization — including systems beyond ServiceNow — through 30 new enterprise integrations spanning Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure, and enterprise applications such as SAP, Oracle, and Workday. Discovery also extends to non-human identities and connected devices, bringing OT and IoT assets into the same governance model as AI agents and cloud services.

But couldnt find in depth details around it.

Another blog by ServiceNow employee here says:

Think of it as mission control for your enterprise AI — giving you deep visibility into:

  • Which AI models are deployed where

  • What decisions they’re making (and why)

  • How they’re performing

  • Whether they meet compliance, fairness, and ethical standards

Q - is this covered for external AI systems?

and

One of the key capability is- Monitoring and Drift Detection

Receive alerts when model behavior drifts from baseline — either due to stale data, shifting inputs, or unforeseen business changes.

But again couldnt find details around drift detection.
