Hi Community,
I am currently exploring the AI Specialist functionality in my ServiceNow PDI and trying to configure it properly.
However, I could not find any official documentation clearly mentioning all the required plugins, dependencies, applications or licensing perquisites needed for setup.
Which Plugins are mandatory for AI Specialist?
Is AI Specialist available only for specific releases or instances?
Please help me with above queries so that I can explore the topic.

Hi @muskanb3
We cannot get any AI plugins in a PDI except the build Agent. I recommend going through the Now Learning training, where you will get access to an instance for practice as well. In a PDI, this is not possible. That’s the short answer.

Hi @muskanb3 ,
In PDI/Developer instance other than BuildAgent /part of Predictive intelligence,
Any other GenAI like NowAssist or Agentic AI is not available.
- Now Assist / GenAI: Restricted from PDIs. You cannot natively spin up generative AI skills in your personal developer environment.
- AI Search: Not supported on PDIs.
- Predictive Intelligence: You can see or install the plugin, but the machine learning models will not actually train in a PDI environment.

Ahoy @muskanb3,
"AI specialist" is quite a vague term, how do you define it or how to understand that?
The AI capabilities in ServiceNow are called Now Assist and I have prepared this: [GF#8] Getting started with Now Assist
