I’m trying to enable Now Assist in the KB portal but I’m not able to get it working on one of my instances. Could you guide me on how to set it up so that it appears below the search bar?

What steps did you follow? If I’m not wrong, Now Assist is mainly for fulfillment. You can also use Now Assist with VA on the Knowledge Portal

You can enable the Now Assist in AI search suing below:
AI Search > AI Search Status Whether AI search is enabled or not.
Check AI Search >Now Assist in AI Search
Enable for desired portal as shown in screenshot.
