Now Assist skill deployed on Virtual Assistant

Hi,

I have created a custom skill in Now Assist skill kit and deployed it to Virtual Assistant to make it available on the Virtual agent.

For the skill to return results on the Service Portal, I still need to manually select the Topic option (specifically the name of the skill) before posting a question. Only after this selection does the assistant respond correctly based on the built skill.
Ideally, I would like the assistant to recognize the user’s intent and trigger the relevant skill without requiring the user to select the topic manually. This would create a more seamless and intuitive experience for end users.

Could you please help me know if there’s a way to configure this, or if any additional setup is needed to achieve this behavior?
