Hi All, Just wanted to know what all ServiceNow modules and applications do need 'itil' role in ServiceNow? We have developed one scoped application and is available on serviceNow store for download free of cost. This application has some features around REST integrations, Service catalog, Workflows, RITM, REQ, Approvals Incident, Email notifications, Service Portal. CAn you please confirm if any of these modules requires 'itil' role?

HI,
Yes ITIL is required for ITSM process like Incident, Request Fulfillment and so on. Service Portal does not need license. You can see portal by default without role but if the developer have user criteria on catalog item then you need to satisfy that to see the item.
Thanks,
Ashutosh

Hello,
it all depends on what people have to do in those tables. I think that, when looking at licenses, they do not really look at who has the itil role (which is just a combination of access rights), but at who can do what in which table. Underlying image shows the different kind of users and what they can do. If your application requires permissions in the Fulfiller column, you can assume they will need an 'itil' license.
