Issue with distinct count in kb_use

Hi, I'm im trying to work out a visual showing distinct article counts from kb_use. When comparing numbers between kb_use (distinct count) and the view count from kb_knowledge (knowledge_article.sys_view_count), the distinct count from kb_use shows fewer articles than the ones listed in kb_knowledge. 

I've taken out a small sample and identified some of the articles that do not show up in kb_use (distinct count) to see if the articles gets listed in KB_use at all. And they do. This leads me to think there is a more general issue with the distinct count metric than my tables and filters.

Update to post:

We've found that articles which has'nt been viewved in a while is not showing in the kb_use (distinct count). I would think this might have to do with the "glide.knowman.view_age.days" and  the "Count Knowledge Use" scheduled job, but my system administrator cant find these settings in our system.
