Breakdowns (or any filter) are hard to set on string fields. Region is even a custom field, from the looks of it.

Why not add everything to the location table with labels? You can create a location hierarchy. Location is part of City, which is part of Country, which is part of Region, or another way you define the hierarchy. You can than easily create your breakdowns/filters based on the location type.

Hi Mark ,

Thanks for coming back ,

Looks like we need to go for customization then , they  want to avoid customizations as much as possible,

is there any other possibilities ?

For Instance, a user is linked to a location (location type should be Site), itself linked to a parent location with the type Country, itself linked to a location of type Region.

What is your business requirement ?

Breakdowns would not be the right approach for this. You can create 3 global filters viz., region, country and city and place the Data Visualization components to follow the filter to show the desired data.

Breakdowns are fine for Choice, Boolean, Reference, Date/Time and Integer data types but doing a breakdown on String field would not be recommended.

If this helped to answer your query, please accept the solution and close the thread.

Thanks,
