30 Day Disruptive Change indicator for Change Success Score

Hi,

I set up two Disruptive Change indicators which looks for:

1. Incidents where the "Caused by change" field is not empty

2. Where the change quoted in that field has a planned end date of "yesterday" and, the other one where that date is in the "last 30 days".

I created multipliers for these and then added the "yesterday" multiplier to the overall score adjustment multiplier.

During testing, it was clear that, if an incident was reported as being caused by a change where the planned end date wasn't "yesterday", the penalty wasn't applied to the overall score for the team.

So, I added the "last 30 days" multiplier to the overall score as well. That seems like the logical thing to do but, my concern is that this will work every day until the planned end date of the change isn't within the last 30 days. I mean, that the teams will be penalised continuously which will obviously upset my scores.

I've set up some tests but I will need two overnight periods for the adjustments to apply so I can see but, I wondered if anyone had set up anything similar and could advise on the best way to approach this if my solution doesn't work?
