My current customer request to build a custom scoped application and a Performance Analytics dashboard for the scoped application tables.
My first question is "Can we build a Performance Analytics dashboard in a scoped application?".
My second question is "Can we create all indicator sources, breakdown sources, and indicators in a scoped application update set?"
My third question is "Will scoped application update sets run into errors when we push update sets?" For instance, in the update set -> custom updates, there is Application column. Would all indicator sources, breakdown sources, and indicators show (point to) Application as Global?
Thank you for your experts input and helps.

There are a few sessions in CreatorCon at Knowledge on this exact topic. Analytics should be built into more applications from the start to help drive the most value from the application.
This short answer is yes, you can do it. Performance Analytics (as well as reports and dashboards) can be built inside the scope. I'm not sure why you will have any update set errors as everything will be in the app scope, not in global.
The one item to be aware of is licensing. To stay compliant, you need to verify your license covers custom applications and is not restricted to ITSM, CSM, or HR for example. I believe you would need Performance Analytics Enterprise (which allows Performance Analytics on all data in the instance) or Performance Analytics for Platform Runtime which allows it on custom applications. This is particularly a concern if the scope app will be distributed beyond a single customer.
