Can we customize the excel exported from Servicenow

Hi Team,

Could anyone please let me know that if there is a way to change/customize the column header colors and as well as highlight the one of the column of the exported excel. I am on Zurich and I am using PA for reporting. When we are exporting the data the excel currently does not have any formatting but the client wants to add few. Hence please let me know if that's feasible.

Unfortunately, ServiceNow does not provide a way to apply formatting to Excel exports. This has been confirmed by a ServiceNow employee in the community thread Solved: Can we format the excel report? - ServiceNow Community.

If formatting is essential, you could apply it after export using an external tool such as a VBA macro or a Python script.

That said, it may be worthwhile to step back and consider why the client needs to export to Excel in the first place. In many cases, the requirement can be addressed directly within the ServiceNow platform using Performance Analytics, breakdowns, or other native reporting features, which avoids the limitations of static Excel exports.

Not possible OOTB.

You can try to use custom solution but it will require heavy customization which I will suggest to avoid.
