Cannot add Widget to Dashboard

I have been working with dashboards and widgets for a while now, in different versions. Currently I am running instances of London and Orlando.

Lately, the filtering when trying to add widgets to a dashboard, does not seem to behave the same anymore. For example, I am not able to find certain content blocks. I have 3 content blocks with the same prefix. When I search them in the Add Widgets window, only one of them shows up.

Sometimes I am lucky and find some of the needed widgets in the recent section, but for content that I did not create myself, I might not be able to find them at all.

In one of my instances this filter is so broken, that I am getting displayed only one of my breakdown widgets while I should be shown 130. The remaining 129 widgets might be found in my recent list but if I cannot find them there, I am out of luck.

Is this a known issue? I cannot prove it right now but I don't remember having this issue from the beginning. Is there something that I might have accidentally changed? In 4 instances?

I have never seen this.  I would put a case in on HI.
