I'm looking into creating one dashboard, maybe be utilizing interactive filters to show a VP all Incidents, Changes, team work assigned to all Business Services they own. I can't seem to get interactive filters to work the way I expect them too. Anyone have any thoughts?

Yes even a breakdown by business service will do the same..it can show all changes, incidents, problems closed or open or any indicator that you put up on the dashboard based on the business service selected in the dropdown. If none is selected, it will show an overall view of the tickets for all business services in the system.
Hope that helps, unless i got your question wrong
Thanks,
Sowmya

Hi Danielle,
On a dashboard you could have any mix of reporting widgets and Performance Analytics widgets (and any other widget type).
For 'on dashboard' filtering there are two features:
-interactive filters: they only apply to reporting widgets,
-breakdown dashboards: they only apply to Performance Analytics widgets.
(and on a breakdown dashboard, you can make a breakdown source act as an interactive filter!)
When you add an interactive filter to a dashboard, don't forget to make some/all widgets listen to the interactive filter. In edit mode of the dashboard, open the widget in edit mode:
and set the interactivity:
When you use breakdown dashboards, you can also make the breakdown element selector act as an interactive filter for reporting widgets on that dashboard.
To relate a breakdown source of a breakdown dashboard to an interactive filter, in edit mode of the dashboard (1),
select the 'i' icon in front of the breakdown source (2):
On the next window, click on the 'Act as filter' look up list (1),
and select an existing interactive filter that you want to relate to the breakdown source (2):
Now selecting an element (in your case a specific Business Service) from the breakdown element selector of the breakdown dashboard, will not only filter the Performance Analytics widgets to 'follow the selected element' *, but also the reporting widgets to show only data for that element.
Hope this helps.
Cheers, Pieter
* if you have set up your Performance Analytics widget to follow the element:
